19 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: May 24-28

The Elm Grove Beer Garden opens, Ope! Brewing celebrates its one-year anniversary and more.

Wednesday, May 24

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) is releasing two new Brewers’ Reserve beers beginning at 4 p.m. The limited beers are a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Honey Bock and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wheatwine.

Learn how to paint and have a great beer or two in the process at The Tap Yard – Milwaukee (1555 N. Rivercenter Dr.). Paint & Sip is happening from 6 to 8 p.m. and tickets are just $30.

Phase Three Brewing takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) from 4 to 10 p.m. Sweet Smoke BBQ will be there too.

Thursday, May 25

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) marks the release of Dad’s Home, a Kölsch-style ale, with a traditional Kölsch service that includes kranz trays and Stange glasses.

Try samples from Central Waters Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, May 26

Third Space Brewing beers can be found at the Elm Grove Beer Garden, which opens this weekend. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is releasing Lavender Lemonade, a fruited sour, at 5 p.m. Trapper Schoepp is performing from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Beer Garden Road Show is bringing 1840 Brewing Company beers to Homestead Hollow (N120 W19809 Freistadt Road, Germantown) from 4 to 9 p.m.

The weekly release at 1840 Brewing is Dad’s Home Kölsch-style Ale. Preorder starts at 9 a.m. and pick up is all weekend.

Lagunitas Brewing is offering samples from noon to 2 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee.

Try beers from Lagunitas at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, May 27

The Tap Yard – Milwaukee celebrates one year of business by handing over a few of the taps to 3 Floyds Brewing and Maplewood Brewing. Be there from 1 to 9 p.m. to try a few gems from both stellar breweries.

Dead Bird Brewing (1726 N. 5th St.) is hosting Yoga and a Pour from 10 to 11 a.m. A one-hour yoga session ends with a drink of your choice.

Klode Park (5960 N. Lake Dr.) gets a visit from the Beer Garden Road Show from 2 to 9 p.m.

Try barrel-aged beers from Boulevard Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.

3 Floyds offers samples from noon to 2 p.m. at Discount Liquor Waukesha.

Sunday, May 28

Ope! Brewing Company (6751 W. National Ave.) celebrates its one-year anniversary from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be food trucks, music, a beer release and some barrel-aged beer tappings.

Grilled Cheese Truck Day is happening at The Tap Yard – Milwaukee. It’s from noon to 5 p.m., and that’s really all the info you need.

Head to City Lights Brewing (2200 W. Mt. Vernon Ave.) for Sip + Stretch, a yoga session from 10 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $15 and include beverage after the workout.
