19 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: June 22-26

From beer tastings to beer gardens to beer yoga, there’s a lot going on for local beer fans.

Wednesday, June 22

Jigs & Swigs comes to Sprecher Brewing Co. (701 W. Glendale Ave.) at 6:30 p.m. The Irish-dance inspired cardio class costs just $15 and includes a beer when you’re done.

Sprecher’s Traveling Beer Garden takes up residency at Shelter #5 in Grant Park (100 E. Hawthorne Ave.) until July 10. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Chicago standout Maplewood Brewery is taking over a few of taps at The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) from 4 to 8 p.m.

Thursday, June 23

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) is releasing Tuscany Tahoma, an Italian pilsner that’s a collaboration with Sabbatical Brewing Co.

One of the craft beer pioneers, New Belgium Brewing, is offering samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 7 p.m.

Friday, June 24

Third Space Brewing collaborated with The Landing at Hoyt Park (1800 N. Swan Blvd.) to create an, as of yet, unnamed citrus wheat ale. The beer is being unveiled at The Landing at 4 p.m. and it will only be available this summer at The Landing and at Third Space (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.).

This week’s release from 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is The Man With the Golden Beer, a double IPA that features more than few nods to James Bond’s 007 moniker. Preorder at 9 a.m. and pickup during the weekend.

1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road Show comes to Burnham Pointe Park (60 W. Burnham St.) from 4 to 9 p.m.

Try samples from Gathering Place Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Head to Discount Liquor Waukesha for samples of Three Floyds beers from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 25

Supermoon Beer Company has a big, big beer planned for release this week. Barbou is a Midwest stock ale aged for 14 months in Koval Rye barrels. Expect malty decadence and a potent 12% ABV. This release is extremely limited so preorder it now. Pick yours up from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, or just head to Supermoon to hang out on their patio.

Fruit Beer Fest comes to The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) at noon. Expect some amazing fruit beers from New Glarus and others.

Bend & Brew returns to Indeed Brewing Co. (530 S. 2nd St.) at 11 a.m. Participate in a one-hour yoga session and reward yourself with a discounted beer when you’re done. Registration is required.

The Vienna Ave. Biergarten will be up and running outside of Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) this Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m.

The Beer Garden Road Show heads to the Frontier Park Clubhouse (5251 N. 127th St.) from 2 to 9 p.m.

Maplewood Brewery is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from 1 to 3 p.m.

Sunday, June 26

New Barons Brewing Co-op is pouring a few radlers from 1 to 6 p.m. They’re using Witches Bit Belgian Witbier to create four different radlers. Try all four, pick your favorite, and that one could end up on the menu for all of July.

The Plant & Sip Succulent Bar has been making the rounds over the past couple of months. This week, it’s making a stop at Enlightened Brewing Company (2020 S. Allis St.). For just $60 you get to make a cool planter and have a free beer during the process.

Two Tap Yard locations are hosting TacoFest on Sunday. The Tap Yard Brookfield has seven taco trucks coming from noon to 7 p.m. The Tap Yard Waukesha marks its second annual TacoFest with 10 different taco trucks.
