1. TosaFest

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | WAUWATOSA

TosaFest, an annual event, is back for 2025! On Friday and Saturday, the streets of the Wauwatosa Village will be filled with three live music stages, five beer gardens (yes, five), a vendor market and more. Plus, the festival’s “Kid Zone” will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Check out the lineup of live music here.

2. Make Art MKE

SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | MOUNT MARY UNIVERSITY

Over 160 artists and makers will take over the grounds of Mount Mary University on Sunday for year three of Make Art MKE, an event inspired by the university’s Starving Artists’ Show that ran for 53 years. Presented by re:Craft and Relic and Lit MKE, this art show will also host six local food trucks. Get tickets online.

3. A Taste of Italy

SUNDAY FROM 11:30 A.M.-3:30 P.M. | ITALIAN COMMUNITY CENTER

Head to the Italian Community Center, located in the Historic Third Ward, for A Taste of Italy. This top fundraising event has free admission and parking, ahead of hours of authentic Italian food and drink. Each food station will have ticket amounts displayed, and each ticket is $1. Proceeds will directly benefit the Center’s educational programs, cultural events and community

4. John Suess Art Exhibition

ALL WEEKEND | GREENFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY

Witness this local artist and former Milwaukee librarian’s exhibit at the Greenfield Public Library, from now until Halloween. Known for his colorful Wisconsin landscapes and vivid floral works, John Suess draws inspiration from everyday beauty like gardens, golf courses and scenic drives. Over 20 of Suess’ original paintings, with several brand-new pieces making their debut, can be viewed for free during regular library hours.

5. Milwaukee Horror Con: Fall Frightmare

ALL WEEKEND | FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON MILWAUKEE AIRPORT

Milwaukee Horror Con is back for three full days this weekend. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you can attend celebrity panels, shop two vendor halls of horror goods, compete in a cosplay showdown and more. Plus, there will be a free Indie Horror Film Festival running all weekend long until 11:30 p.m. nightly. Get tickets here.

6. The Importance of Being Earnest

ALL WEEKEND | RACINE THEATRE GUILD

Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest is showing for the first of three September weekends at the Racine Theatre Guild. With a 7:30 p.m. showtime on both Friday and Saturday and a 2 p.m. showtime on Sunday, there are plenty of opportunities to witness the double lives of Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff.

THURSDAY AT 3 P.M. | AMERICAN FAMILY FIELD

8. MKE Film Series: Wicked

THURSDAY AT 6 P.M. | THE BEER GARDEN AT THE DEER DISTRICT

The last screening of the summer film series, presented by Milwaukee Film and Deer District BID 53, will be on Thursday night. Swing downtown to watch a free showing of Wicked in the Beer Garden at the Deer District.

9. Wine Tasting: Southern Italy

THURSDAY FROM 6-7:30 P.M. | WATERFORD WINE & SPIRITS

Journey into the Mezzogiorno and discover the wines of Southern Italy at Waterford Wine & Spirits this Thursday evening. With nine wines to-be-tasted, sommeliers will guide guests through a range of styles, including Taurasi, which is known as the “Barolo of the South.” You can reserve a spot online.

10. Cathedral Square Fundraiser

THURSDAY FROM 6-9 P.M. | ASCENT MKE

Cathedral Square Friends is hosting its fourth-annual Special Event Fundraiser in the rooftop Canopy Lounge of Ascent MKE, the tallest mass timber structure in the world. There will be complimentary wine, craft beer, cocktails and mocktails, along with appetizers provided by A Bianchini Experience. 12. The Next Chapter: Romance Edition

Meet and mingle with romance authors and readers at the Racine Public Library, during Friday’s multi-part event. USA Today bestselling authors Lyssa Kay Adams, Avery Flynn and Abigail Owen will be on-site to lead writing workshops, sign books and take part in a panel discussion and Q&A session. 13. The Black Keys

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | BMO PAVILION

The Black Keys, along with special guest The Heavy Heavy, will be at the BMO Pavilion on the Summerfest Grounds, for the Milwaukee stop on their “No Rain, No Flowers” tour. Tickets are available here.

14. UWM Faculty Exhibition: “Sum Total”

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | KENILWORTH SQUARE EAST GALLERY

“Sum Total,” a biennial exhibition that celebrates the artistic faculty and teaching staff within the Peck School of the Arts’ Department of Art & Design, begins this weekend. See what’s on view at the Kenilworth Square East Gallery from 5-7 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

15. Michael Blackson

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | MILWAUKEE IMPROV

Catch comedian Michael Blackson, also known as, “The African King of Comedy,” during his weekend at Milwaukee Improv. After being discovered by actor and director Ice Cube, Blackson became known for his “scene-stealing” performance in the hit comedy “Next Friday” and has appeared alongside seasoned comics on network shows and commercials. He has four showtimes across Friday and Saturday, and you can grab tickets here.

16. Make-A-Wish: Walk for Wishes 2025

SATURDAY AT 8 A.M. | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK

Make your way to the lakefront on Saturday morning to take part in this nationwide initiative to grant wishes of children with critical illnesses. Registration is free, and participants can enjoy music, games and food trucks while taking the steps to make dreams come true.

17. Admirals Garage Sale

SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-4 P.M. | UW-MILWAUKEE PANTHER ARENA

The Admirals’ annual garage sale is here for one day of sales inside the Panther Arena. Among this year’s items are game-worn jerseys from the 2024-25 season, new and game-used sticks and other game-used equipment. Admirals merchandise will also be available at a discounted price. The sale opens at 9 a.m. for full-season seat members, 10 a.m. for partial-season seat members and 11 a.m. for the general public.

18. Third Space Brewing’s Oktoberfest

Saturday is the first-ever Oktoberfest event at Third Space Innovation Brewhouse, and the team is planning a lineup of tradition.
