16 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Sept. 6-11

Fall Fest, Oktoberfest and the not-to-be-missed Ervtoberfest at Erv’s Mug all signal a festive season for beer drinkers.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) has a pair of beer releases this week. Pattern Indemnity is a double dry-hopped IPA made with Phantasm powder and Ríjenfest is a Czech-inspired Oktoberfest. Both are available on tap and in four-packs.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

The Tap Yard West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) is giving over a few of the taps to New Glarus. Included on the list are the newly released Black Currant 22 and the exceptional Scream IIPA.

Another Plant & Sip Succulent Bar comes to The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) from 6 to 8 p.m. For $60 you can build a small arrangement and get a free beer.

Friday, Sept. 9

Friday kicks off the two-day Fall Fest at The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.). That means live music and quite a few rare beer tappings. The tap list includes a few Goose Island Bourbon County variants, some gems from 3 Sheeps and Central Waters, and quite a few Oktoberfest beers.

1840 Brewing Company is releasing Mon Cheri, a Belgian-style grisette ale made with Door County Montmorency cherries. Presale starts at 9 a.m.

Try samples from The Rookery (3 to 6 p.m.) and Sam Adams (3 to 5 p.m.) at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Central Waters Brewing is offering samples from noon to 2 p.m. at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.).

Saturday, Sept. 10

Ervtoberfest returns for its 12th year at Erv’s Mug (130 W. Ryan Rd.) from 5 to 9 p.m. The fantastic event includes more than 80 different beers and nearly 40 Oktoberfests. A full German buffet provides a fine base for the fest. Tickets are just $50 and limited to 250.

An Oktoberfest celebration is happening at Component Brewing Company (2018 S. 1st St.) at 1 p.m. Component is releasing Polka Juice Oktoberfest and having live music and pretzels available. The brewery is also opening up a few spots in its mug club on Saturday.

1840 Brewing Company’s Beer Garden Road Show sets up shop in Klode Park (5960 N. Lake Dr.) from 2 to 8 p.m.

New Barons Brewing Cooperative (2018 S. 1st St.) is celebrating its second-year anniversary from 1 to 11 p.m. The party includes beer, of course, music, food and a dunk tank.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing The Only Time is Party Time, a milk stout made with coconut and coffee.

Broken Bat Brewing is offering samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha has samples from Maplewood Brewery from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 11

Yoga in Your Third Space comes to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. The 75-minute yoga session costs $23 and includes a post-workout beverage.

The Tap Yard Waukesha hosts a Plant & Sip Succulent Bar starting at 4 p.m.
