16 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Nov. 4-9

Beerfriends WI has a bunch of Movember beer-related events – plus, Black Husky gets soulful with the Bluegrass Gospel Brunch.

Tuesday, Nov. 4

A week of Movember-related beer events kicks off at Highland House (12741 N. Port Washington Rd., Mequon). Reps from six breweries will be there from 4 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 5

Reps from Lion’s Tail Brewing, Central Waters Brewing, 3 Sheeps Brewing, and Young Blood Beer will be at Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln., Menomonee Falls) for Movember festivities from 5 to 7 p.m.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is having a retro video game night. Fundays MKE is supplying the consoles and games.

Ferch’s Crafthouse (418 N. Mayfair Rd., Wauwatosa) hosts a Movember event from 7 to 9 p.m. that includes beer samples and giveaways.

Thursday, Nov. 6

A Movember brewery happy hour at Dugout 54 (5328 W. Bluemound Rd.) runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and includes visits by reps from Hinterland Brewing and Young Blood.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. First St.) is having its quarterly member/owner town hall and happy hour at 6 p.m.

Try samples from Surly Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 7

Young Blood is hosting a night of ’80s music trivia at The Hounds & Tap (W175 N5645 Technology Dr., Menomonee Falls) at 6 p.m. It’s another Movember fundraiser.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee has samples of Sprecher Brewing’s 40th Anniversary Belgian Dubbel from 3 to 6 p.m. Founders Brewery is offering samples from 3 to 5 p.m. at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow Ave.).

Saturday, Nov. 8

Faklandia Brewpub (3807 S. Packard Ave., St. Francis) hosts Feast of Faire, a Renaissance-themed pop-up market from 6 to 9 p.m. If you dress in ren faire attire you save $1 on each beer or other beverage.

Try Belgian ale samples from Brasserie d’Achouffe at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m. Discount Waukesha has samples from Sprecher (noon to 2 p.m.) and Duesterbeck’s Brewing of Elkhorn (1 to 3 p.m.).

Sunday, Nov. 9

One of the more unique regular local brewery events is the Bluegrass Gospel Brunch, which is happening at Black Husky Brewing at 11 a.m. The fun includes live music, a community potluck and plenty of beer.

Learn how to paint a harvest moon at Pilot Project Brewing (1128 N. Ninth St.) from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets for the paint and sip session cost $39.

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) is the site of a makers market featuring more than 20 vendors and artisans. Grab a beer and browse from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 15: Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa) marks 10 years of business with a party at noon and a pair of limited beer releases.

Friday, Nov. 28: Black Friday means all sorts of limited beer releases around the area, including Lakefront’s signature party. More information to come.

Saturday, Dec. 6: Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) celebrates four years of great beer with a birthday party and some special beer releases.
