See what Milwaukee’s best home brewers have to offer during the Cream City Homebrew Competition at Gathering Place Brewing Company (811 E. Vienna Ave.) from 2 to 5 p.m. Ten beers are in the finals and will be assessed by three “celebrity” judges (including Milwaukee Magazine editor Chris Drosner) who determine a winner. First place earns a release party and a spot on tap at Gathering Place.

The Make No Mistake Vintage Market is coming to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) on Saturday and Sunday. More than 50 vendors will be selling vintage and handmade items, and, of course, Third Space will be selling its handmade beer. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. on both days.

It’s not a beer event, but Cider and Seltzer Day at The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) is worth a mention. From noon to 10 p.m. a few of the taps are pouring Ace Cider, hard seltzers from Eagle Park Brewing and more.

Family Fun Day comes to The Tap Yard West Bend (4875 County Rd. Z) from 1 to 7 p.m. Bring the kids for cotton candy, games and a bounce house.

This week’s release at Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 W. North Ave.) is a double dry-hopped Everything Eventually Motueka, made with Citra and Motueka hops.

The Beer Garden Road Show is at Klode Park (5960 N. Lake Dr.) from 2 to 9 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 7

The folks at Ray’s Wine & Spirits (8930 W. North Ave.) know what they’re doing when it comes to a parking lot party. Expect the Rayborhood Barbecue Bash to live up to lofty expectations. From noon to 6 p.m. they’ll have more than 20 taps pouring beers from Central Waters Brewing (including a collaboration between Ray’s at Central Waters), plenty of food trucks and music.

Food Truck Frenzy is happening at The Tap Yard Brookfield from noon to 6 p.m. Expect around a dozen food trucks, and the outstanding tap list that The Tap Yard is known for.
