1. The RIDE Home
ALL WEEKEND | HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM
Celebrate Labor Day weekend and the end of the summer, with this free outdoor event that’s all about getting loud. The Harley-Davidson Museum is turning its grounds into a full party topped with food and beverages, free live music and other entertainment. Such as the Big Unit Poker Run, in which riders will join together into a massive pack and take over the city. This ride is in the benefit of the Big Unit Foundation, a charity that supports veterans, first responders, active military and their families.
2. Third Ward Art Festival
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | THIRD WARD
The Third Ward Art Festival is bringing together a collection of over 200 different artists from all over the country. Attendees will be able to admire art pieces in very different mediums, from ceramic, to glass, mixed mediums and plenty more. There is something for everyone at this festival. Families present at the event will be able to enjoy the kid friendly art tent where children can learn about different artistic disciplines from an actual artist. The event starts at 10 A.M. on Saturday and 5 P.M. on Sunday.
3. Marshall Building Art Crawl
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FROM 11 A.M.-7 P.M. | MARSHALL BUILDING
An event within an event, get the chance to explore seven stories of a curated art gallery coupled with a live jazz performance. The Marshall Building is opening it’s doors during the Third Ward Art Festival to the public. Allowing attendees to explore every gallery and art studio within the building through one self guided tour. Attendees can also listen to a live jazz performance, and enjoy some small bites and drinks. This event is free to attend.

4. Wisconsin Handmade Expo
ALL WEEKEND FROM 9 A.M.-7 P.M. | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK
The Summerfest grounds will be filled with all kinds of local artisans putting their crafts up for sale. Check out a full day of craft fun and maybe you’ll discover a trinket or two to take home. This event is free to attend, but expect to shop around different vendors.
5. Sounds: Gershwin, Kandinsky and Barnett
THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-5 P.M. | DAVID BARNETT ART GALLERY
Explore the newest art exhibition from this timeless local art gallery. Their newest exhibition explores the relationship between music and visual art through the perspective of composer George Gershwin. The exhibition is in three parts with pieces from Gershwin, woodcuts from Wassily Kandinsky’s artist portfolio and David Barnett’s own paintings inspired by Gershwin. While there explore the rest of the art that this gallery has to offer.
6. The Melt Yard
ALL WEEKEND | THE NEW FASHIONED
Celebrate the final days of summer at this Deer District weekend long party. The Melt Yard is part of a summer event series that’s all about indulging in the best parts of a Milwaukee summer. Get the chance to have your very own “perfect cheese pull” while sipping an old fashioned or a bloody Mary. There will be plenty of cheese, festivities and fun to cap off the season.
7. Dad Bods, Courtesy, Heavy Bend and Shoobie
THURSDAY AT 7 P.M. | CACTUS CLUB
If live music is more your thing, head on over to Cactus Club this Thursday to catch a wide selection of the local music scene. This lineup is a strong mix of bands both local and out of town. Headlining the show is Dad Bods, a drum and bass duo that packs a punch live. Coming from Madison, the two will be bringing a lively energy to the Bay View rock club, tickets are $10 right now or $15 at the door.
8. The Happy Together Tour
THURSDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | MARCUS CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
This is the 17 year of the Happy Together Tour, a nomadic live music showcase offering a collection of cover songs from the Summer of Love. The performance will bring the audience back to the boom of top 40 hits, with 60s outfit The Association joining the tour to perform songs from their heyday. This will be a lighthearted, but sonically enriching night of tunes.
9. Milwaukee Milkmen vs Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks
FRIDAY AT 6:30 P.M. | FRANKLIN FIELD
Support the Milwaukee Milkmen as they take on the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks at home. This game will have a special drone show that’ll take to the sky and entrance the audience after the game. First responders also get free tickets this Friday which can be claimed with a work ID card.
10. MKE Music Night
FRIDAY AT 7-11:30 P.M. | THE COOPERAGE
This Milwaukee Music Night at The Cooperage is a specially themed Latin night. Expect to hear a collection of local artists who will bring a diverse sonic background to the show. The lineup, in playing order, consists of: Tlalok, Cristian Sideral, Los Mitoteros and Calakas Sonoras. There will also be art and other vendors to check out during the night.
11. Modern Joey: Beer Garden Jams
FRIDAY FROM 7-10 P.M. | ON TAP
On Tap’s live music series returns this Friday for a night of electrifying fun. Local indie rockers Modern Joey, will be playing all night long with a detailed set list of originals, exciting covers and more. Spend an evening in a historic brewers district biergarten sipping on a nice drink and listening to some good tunes.
12. Yoga at MAM
SATURDAY FROM 8-9 A.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM
If your looking for a serene start to the day then sign up for an hour long yoga class right Quadracci Pavilion. Admire the morning view of Lake Michigan while rejuvenating your body bright and early. Tickets are $20 for non-members and $10 for Milwaukee Art Museum members online, and $25 or $15 day of, for non-members and members respectively.
13. Milwaukee Polka Riot 2026
SATURDAY AT 2 P.M. | LINNEMAN’S RIVERWEST INN
Bring out your suspenders and dance the day away at this year’s Polka Riot. Hosted in a Riverwest institution this Polka festival showcases acts from around the country, who congregate in the Cream City for a full day celebration. The party will go until 10 P.M., but might last longer depending on the energy.
14. Maxwell Street Days
SUNDAY FROM 6 A.M.-2 P.M. | FIREMEN’S PARK
Catch one of Cebarburg’s most popular flea markets this Sunday. Spend the first half of the day perusing around dozens of different shops and vendors including: antiques, fine arts, pottery, fresh produce and more. Admission to the event is free and all are welcome to attend.
15. Deer District Farmer’s Market
SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-2 P.M. | DEER DISTRICT
The Deer District is hosting their own weekly farmer’s market starting this weekend. Explore over 100 different vendors with a good mix of fresh food, baked goods and more. Live music and other entertainment will be hosted at the event along with local businesses open early for brunch and lunch. A kid’s play area will be designated onsite as well.
