15 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Oct. 4-8

Oktoberfest celebrations are winding down this week, but there is still plenty of fun to be had.

Wednesday, Oct. 4

Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) is getting a visit from 903 Brewers. The Texas brewery is taking over the taps with a wide range of beer styles.

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) has a pair of hoppy releases this week. The Cashmere Sweater “Hash Cash” is 1840’s popular double IPA, and Hopfredo is a West Coast IPA. Both are on tap on Wednesday and available in bottles on Friday.

Learn how to make a decorative wheat wreath at The Tap Yard – Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) from 6 to 8 p.m. The $60 ticket gets you all the supplies you need and a beer to help you find your creativity.


It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

 

Thursday, Oct. 5

The month-long Oktoberfest celebration at the Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) comes to end this weekend. The fun starts at 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Friday, Oct. 6

Try samples from Bell’s Brewery at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 7

3 Sheeps Brewing (1837 North Ave., Sheboygan) is releasing Double Barrel Wolf, an imperial stout aged in both Elijah Craig and Willett bourbon barrels. The doors open at 11 a.m. and this winter warmer is only available in the taproom.

The Wisconsin Brewery Running Series comes to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The 5K run starts at 11 a.m. and ends with participants earning a free beer in the taproom. Tickets are $35.

Downtown Cedarburg hosts Oktoberfest on Saturday and Sunday. The Fermentorium and 3 Sheeps Brewing will be pouring their beer, and there will be plenty of German-inspired fun. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The OktoHarvest block party is happening at Urban Harvest Brewing (1024 S. 5th St.) from 1 to 8 p.m. The brewery is releasing its Oktoberfest to drink alongside live music and The Iron Pig food truck.

Amorphic Beer is pouring at Oktoberfest, taking place at the Phantom Junction Stage in Indian Head Park (850 Main St., Mukwonago) from 2 to 7 p.m.

1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road Show makes a trip to Klode Park (5960 N. Lake Dr.) and will be pouring beer from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bootcamp and Brews brings a HIIT workout to Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave.). Challenge yourself with a workout from 11 a.m. to noon and follow it up with a beer, or several. Cost is $20.

Sunday, Oct. 8

Ray’s Wine & Spirits knows how to throw a parking lot party. They’re putting their revelry skills to work at the first ever Ray-toberfest, happening from noon to 5 p.m. Several local vendors will be there, there will be great food, and, of course, the beer supply will be abundant.

Yoga in Your Third Space is happening at Third Space Brewing at 10:30 a.m. The 75-minute yoga session costs just $23 and includes a beverage when you’re done.

The wheat wreaths class comes to The Tap Yard – Menomonee Falls (W220 N7884 Town Line Rd.) from noon to 2 p.m.
