15 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: March 17-22

The week includes ample St. Patrick’s Day festivities and a big milestone for Brewfinity Brewing Company.

Tuesday, March 17

Brewed Omen (120 N. Main St., Hartford) celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by pouring its dry Irish stout (on nitro) and its Irish red ale. The fun starts at noon and the kitchen starts serving Reubens at 2 p.m.

Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood) has a big St. Patrick’s Day planned. It’s tapping several Irish-themed craft beers, including Third Space Brewing’s Mystic Knot barrel-aged stout inspired by Irish coffee, and hosting an all-day potluck. The Wauwatosa location (7479 Harwood Ave.) is also tapping Irish brews, including those by Ireland’s The White Hag Brewing. Doors for both locations open at noon.

Thursday, March 19

Fargo’s Drekker Brewing is taking over the taps at Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln., Menomonee Falls) from 4 to 7 p.m. The brewery is known for making excellent IPAs and sours, and it’s bringing a couple of barrel-aged beers, too.

Friday, March 20

A two-day celebration highlights the 11th anniversary of Brewfinity Brewing. Things kick off at the Pewaukee taproom (203 W. Wisconsin Ave.) with a special beer release at 2 p.m. and live music starting at 7 p.m.

Try samples from Pilot Project Brewing and the N/A Mash Gang at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave., West Allis) from 2 to 5 p.m. Mash Gang offers samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, March 21

Brewfinity’s anniversary party moves to its Oconomowoc taproom (N58 W39800 Industrial Rd.) on Saturday. It’s dropping a special beer at noon and hosting brewery tours all afternoon.

The release of Cat Mom Triple IPA is happening at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.). The cat-themed event includes a raffle, food truck and more. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Second Hand Purrs no-kill cat shelter.

Burn off the St. Patrick’s Day flab at Bootcamp & Brews, a 45-minute workout taking place at Lion’s Tail Brewing Co. (8520 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa) at 11 a.m. Tickets are $25 and include a free beer.

Sunday, March 22

The Sprecher Brewery taproom (701 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale) is the site of the GiGi’s Playhouse World Down Syndrome Day party from 3 to 5 p.m. The family-friendly events includes soda and beer tastings, raffles, a DJ,and celebratory cake. Tickets, which include free samples, are $10 for kids and $17 for adults.

Gathering Place Brewing (7208 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa) and Bunzel’s Meat Market are teaming up for a meat raffle. It takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Wauwatosa taproom.

Another Stretch & Sip Yoga session is on the calendar at Raised Grain Brewing Co. (1725 N. Dolphin St., Waukesha). The one-hour workout starts at 11 a.m. and costs $20.

Yoga is also happening at Eagle Park Brewing Milwaukee (815 E. Hamilton St.) at 10:30 a.m. The 45-minute class costs $15.

There’s no shortage of beer yoga this week. Ope! Brewing (6751 W. National Ave., West Allis) also hosts a session at 10 a.m. Tickets are $20.

Wednesday, March 25: Tess (2499 N. Bartlett Ave.) is hosting a pair of beer dinners with Great Lakes Brewing on March 25 and March 26. The five-course dinners start at 6:30 p.m. Call 414-964-8377 to make a reservation.

Thursday, March 26: Pilot Project Brewing (1128 N. Ninth St.) hosts the four-course Almost Spring Beer Dinner. They’re releasing three special beers to mark the occasion.

Saturday, April 4: Hard to believe, but Urban Harvest Brewing (1024 S. Fifth St.) is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Saturday, April 18: The annual Joint Beer Fest will take place at Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego). This year’s lineup features a mix of producers, from breweries like Young Blood and Ohio’s Dankhouse to J Henry & Sons distillery and Drinkin’ Buds Beverages. More details on the event page.

Saturday, April 25: Kegel’s Inn (5901 W. National Ave., West Allis) hosts Bockbierfest from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be beer poking, the blessing of the bock, music, and the release Hofbräu Maibock.

Saturday, May 30: The eighth year of Lager & Friends is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. The beer fest at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna St.) highlights lagers from several standout breweries.

Saturday, May 30: Sheboygan’s 3 Sheeps Brewing celebrates its 14th anniversary with live music, food vendors, a sale of vintage barrel-aged bottles and more. 

Saturday, June 13: Sip and Savor Wisconsin (formerly the Wisconsin Beer Lovers Fest) comes to The Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd., Glendale). Sample beer, wine, spirits, and food from some of Wisconsin’s best artisans. Tickets start at $70.
