12 Beer Events Brewing In Milwaukee This Week: Jan. l7-21

1840 Brewing Company is turning into a Simpsons pop-up!

Wednesday, Jan. 17

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is spending the week hosting The Springfield Connection, a Simpson’s-themed pop up. The week includes Simpson’s marathons, game nights, costume contests, and more. Simpson’s themed beer releases for the week include Fudd American Lager and Stupid Sexy Saison.

Supermoon Beer Co. (3145 S. Howell Ave.) is releasing Sensitive King, a Belgian tripel that the brewery is excited about. Preorder it now and pick it up at the taproom.

Fair State Brewing is taking over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) from 4 to 10 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 18

O’so Brewing Company’s owner Marc Buttera is hosting a beer dinner at Bilda’s Friess Lake Pub (4493 Hwy. 167, Hubertus). For $40, you get five O’so beers paired with four apps. The tasting starts at 6 p.m.

There’s a winter beer garden happening at The Cellar Pub & Grill (812 W. Oakwood Rd.) from 5 to 8 p.m. The guest of honor is Lakefront Brewery.

Friday, Jan. 19

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is releasing Paw Print Hazy IPA. A portion of the proceeds benefit Almost Home cat rescue.

Friends of Todd Wehr Nature Center hosts Brews and (Snow) Shoes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event includes beer samples and a nature hike. Cost is $15 ($13 for Milwaukee County residents and $10 for Friends of Wehr members).

Saturday, Jan. 20

Gathering Place Brewing (7208 W. North Ave.) hosts an N/A Soirée starting at noon. They’ll have two new hop waters for you to try.

Bootcamp & Brews is happening at Ope! Brewing Company (6751 W. National Ave.) from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. For $20 you get to challenge yourself with a morning workout and follow it up with a beer.

Try non-alcoholic beers from Sam Adams at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 21

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) celebrates National Hot Sauce Day one day early. To commemorate, they’re offering flights pairing five chicken wing flavors with five beers. The entertainment for the evening is hot wing trivia, where unlucky volunteers eat very spicy wings while answering trivia questions.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) gets into the dry January spirit by hosting a Zero Proof party from noon to 6 p.m.
