12 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Jan. 11-15

Milwaukee Magazine made a beer (with some help), and there are plenty of other opportunities this week as well.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

Milwaukee Magazine has a beer, finally. Page Turner Pilsner was brewed by Eagle Park Brewing to help us celebrate 40 years of great storytelling. Try some at Eagle Park (823 E. Hamilton St.) from 5 to 7 p.m.

Hop Butcher For the World is brining some its outstanding IPAs to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) from 4 to 10 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 12

Baroque and Beer comes to Gathering Place Brewing Company (811 E. Vienna Ave.). From 7 to 10 p.m. you can sip smartly on your favorite Gathering Place brew and listen to some Baroque-era music.

What’s Brew City’s best? We’ve picked 16 of our favorite Milwaukee craft beers for a March Madness-style tournament, but it’s up to you to pick the winner! Will it be bright and hoppy? Dark and malty? A zippy lager? Every one is worthy of the title; who will claim the sudsy crown?

Friday, Jan. 13

Gathering Place Brewing begins its weekly Small Batch Fridays series with limited releases at both locations. The Riverwest taproom is pouring Winter IPA, while Wauwatosa (7208 W. North Ave.) features a Glübier, a hot beer concoction.

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is releasing Haus Weisse, a Berliner weiss made with ginger and mango. Presale begins at 9 a.m. with pickup all weekend.

Radix Fermentation is bringing some of its spontaneous fermentation brews to the taproom at New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) from 5 to 9 p.m.

Try samples from Gathering Place Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 14

New Barons Brewing Co-op is hosting a Souper Bowl Potluck Party from 1 to 8 p.m. Bring a soup to share or just a spoon.

The weekly release at Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is Tiny Shaka, a hazy session IPA.

Try non-alcoholic beers from Lakefront Brewery and the 35th Anniversary Doppelbock at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 15

A Zero Proof Party is happening at New Barons Brewing Co-op from 1 to 7 p.m. If you’re still successful at Dry January by then, swing by to try a number of non-alcoholic drink options.

Yoga in Your Third Space comes to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $23 and include a post-workout beverage.
