12 Beer Events Brewing Milwaukee This Week: Apr. 10-14

Wednesday, Apr. 10

The weekly beer release at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is Meet the Clingstones, a barrel-fermented saison.

Friday, Apr. 12

The latest release in Lakefront’s Brewers’ Reserve Series is Tropical Ale, aged in rum barrels. Ordering starts at 9 a.m. and pick up is all weekend at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce Ave.).

Try samples from Three Floyds and Lagunitas Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Apr. 13

Vennture Brew Co. (5519 W. North Ave.) is releasing Doughnut Don, its annual imperial pastry stout made with Cranky Al’s crullers, coffee and vanilla. There are four variants, including one aged in J. Henry bourbon barrels. They’ll also be pouring Jeely Filled, a Berliner weisse made with raspberry puree. The fun starts at noon.

Fermentorium (7481 WI-60 Trunk) is celebrating eight years in business with a party. They’ll have live music, food and some rarities pouring from the taps. The big release of the day is Worthless Bronze Medallion, an imperial stout aged in Elijah Craig barrels. The party runs from noon to 10 p.m.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing Tiny Shaka, a sessionable hazy IPA.

The Tap Yard Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) is getting an early start with a pop-up beer garden happening on Saturday and Sunday. The taps will be flowing from noon to 7 p.m. on both days and a food truck will be there to provide sustenance.

Sunday, April 14

The annual Blessing of the Bock is happening once again at Falcon Bowl (801 E. Clarke St.). The festival of local beer runs from noon to 4 p.m. “Father” Jim Klisch’s blessing will happen at 12:15 p.m., followed by a tribute to the recently departed “Whispering” Jeff Platt, who tirelessly promoted the event. Tickets are $30.

Lakefront Brewery marks Milwaukee Day by charging just $4.14 for pints of Riverwest Stein and Eastside Dark.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) teams up with Twisted Path Distillery to celebrate Milwaukee Day with live music, giveaways, and libations.

If you’re headed to New Barons, make a stop at the Milwaukee Day party thrown by Component Brewing in the same building from 1 to 7:30 p.m. They’re releasing two beers and they’ll have K&L BBQ.

Yoga in Your Third Space returns to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The 75-minute workout starts at 10:30. The $23 ticket price includes a post-workout beverage.

April 20: Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego) has its popular Joint Beer Fest coming up. Get tickets early, because the annual beer fest draws a crowd.

April 20: 1840 Brewing hosts its Earth Daze street party and is releasing two new beers.

April 24: Third Space’s Beer School covers the topic of beer and cheese.

April 27: There are only 100 tickets to the Spring Beer Fest at The Landing at Hoyt Park (1800 N. Swan Blvd.). Plan ahead if you want to go.
