YEAH, PEOPLE REALLY celebrate the mathematical constant pi (π) with pie on 3.14. Because it’s fun! And delicious. I always advocate for pie, regardless of the day. But especially on Pi Day.
1. Honeypie

Honeypie is open on a rare Tuesday, but only offering coffee/cocktails and slices and whole pies (not the full menu). They make specialty, cream and fruit pies. I can’t tell you exactly which flavors will be available (and I can imagine they will be selling pretty quickly) but examples of flavors they do make include chocolate pistachio cream, salted caramel, blueberry, apple-cherry, caramel apple, whiskey walnut pecan, bourbon fudge and banana cream. Open 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
2. The Bake Sale

This West Allis spot – which sells baked goods from other local vendors and pies made in-house – is offering options for walk-in availability, including fruit and cream pies, but it’s first come, first serve. Pie sizes are 5-inch and 9-inch. Open 6:30 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Famous for its ultra-sweet Apple Pie Baked in a Paper bag, the baker is offering a $3.14 discount on 8-inch paper bag apple pies through March 14. Open 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

This offshoot of Honeypie will have sweet and savory hand pies, and cream and fruit pie slices in various flavors. As at Honeypie, I can’t say which flavors they’ll have available but I noticed that their Pie of the Month is The Caramel Dee-Lightful, inspired by the Girl Scout Caramel Delite cookie.
