MEET MORE OF OUR 2026 WOMEN OF DISTINCTION
Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel is an experience of pure luxury. After a warm greeting by the hotel’s top-notch team in the lobby, guests can grab a drink at the bustling bar, enjoy a delicious dinner at The Studio Kitchen & Cocktails and appreciate the eye-catching art on display throughout the Downtown destination.
Behind the scenes, the hotel’s hospitality experts work to ensure that each guest has a great experience. Amenda Ramczyk brings impeccable service as the director of housekeeping. As human resources director, Jenny Nyquist tends to the needs of the entire staff, while area marketing manager Hannah Cook brings in guests from near and far. Anna Chang and Ainslie Evans craft delicious dining experiences at The Studio and Proof Pizza, respectively, and Dana Johnson, the general manager, ensures the entire operation runs smoothly. All six women agree, as Ramczyk sums up: Their careers in hospitality “grew from a passion for helping people, creating positive experiences and being part of a team that makes a difference every day.”
“Don’t wait until you
feel completely ready for the next opportunity. Jump right in!”
-Dana Johnson
Q&A
What brought you to your field?
My career in hospitality grew from my passion for helping people, creating positive experiences, and being part of a team that makes a difference every day. I was drawn to housekeeping because it is such an important part of the guest experience, even though much of the work happens behind the scenes. – Amenda Ramczyk, Housekeeping Director
What career advice do you have for other women?
My path to Human Resources wasn’t a traditional one. I was a Biology major in college and never imagined I would build a career in HR. My advice is to stay open to new opportunities and not be afraid to pivot when you discover something you’re passionate about. Success in HR isn’t defined by your major. It’s driven by a genuine interest in people and a desire to help both employees and organizations succeed. Follow what excites you, and don’t be afraid to take an unexpected path to get there. – Jennifer Nyquist, Director of Human Resources
