When Stefanie Corbett founded High Brow Boutique in 2011, it was a one-woman operation working out of a 400-square-foot space. Eleven years later, she has grown the spa into a 17-person team with a footprint of 3,000 square feet. “Watching our team grow into Milwaukee’s most sought-after estheticians is what I’m most proud of,” Corbett says. But Corbett wants her impact to extend beyond her business. Ten years ago, Corbett started an ongoing philanthropic effort. Every other month, she and her staff collect donations from High Brow clients for local charitable organizations, and at the end High Brow matches the donations 100%. Some recent charities include the Fisher House, MS Society and the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center. “My goal at High Brow has always been to help our community here in Milwaukee,” Corbett says. “We’re focused on becoming even more aligned with our vision, our passion and our values as a team. After 12 years in business, we’re stronger than ever.”

“Success requires passion, dedication to our growing team, and unwavering five-star service to our customers.”

-Stefanie Corbett

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

Personally, it’s growing our team. We’ve hired people fresh out of school, and I’ve watched them grow into amazing estheticians. That’s what I’m most proud of here.

We also really strive to make a difference in our community, beyond our services. We extend support to local charities every other month and match donations from our clients. Our clients are amazing, and we’ve been blown away by the generosity they’ve shown.

What are some of your goals for the future of your business?

We’re really focused on becoming even more aligned with our vision, passion and values as a team. We just completed our third expansion and we’re hoping to see another in the next few years.

What advice do you have for women who’d like to own their own business?

Let your passion drive you. I’m really big on maintaining your values and integrity, and letting a strong moral compass guide you. So I’d say stay energetically aligned with your passion, hustle hard, but most importantly, educate yourself on managing and becoming fluent in business.
