Lindsey Kreske joined Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC fresh out of Marquette University as a financial advisor. In her more than 15 years since, Kreske has specialized in retirement planning. “The most rewarding part of my work is to see my clients meet their goals and get to enjoy their retirement,” Kreske says. In 2012, she returned to school and received a master’s in business administration from Carroll University. Outside of her work, she’s completed 39 marathons in 26 states since 2009, and plans to run one in every state.

What brought you to Ameriprise?
They hired me out of college. I appreciate the support they have for every area of financial planning. I specialize in retirement planning, transitioning from work into retirement and building off an income stream. A lot of people don’t consider inflation when planning for retirement.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
Seeing my clients reach their goals, and watching them enjoy their retirement.
What advice do you have for women interested in pursuing a career in finance?
Maintain connections as you move forward in life. And be honest. To be an effective financial advisor, you have to be honest.
