For 65 acres of woods and 40 minutes of terror, venture on to Buffalo Bill’s Haunted Trail. This nighttime outdoor haunt features a forest full of creepy creatures. General admission is $28 online and $36 at the door.
3. Skully’s Terror Haunted House

What might seem low-key at first is an expertly crafted, atmospheric and frightening experience. Skully himself has been active in the haunt industry since 2003. General admission is $20.
4. Screamin’ Acres

Screamin’ Acres contains four attractions included with admission, each with an elaborate and terrifying storyline. One of the houses features static shocks for the bravest of any group. Prices range from $28-36, with tickets online only.
5. Shockwave Haunts at The Fuzzy Pig

Grisly, gnarly frights await at Shockwave Haunts, which claims to take “fear to a new level.” In addition to its gruesome haunted house, The Fuzzy Pig also offers wood-fired pizza and a full bar. Tickets are $20-25.
6. The Hill Has Eyes

Each of the four haunted houses at this 45-acre forested fright fest feature a horrifying storyline, from mutant cannibals to “the devil’s carnival.” Ticket prices range from $40-54.
7. The Haunt

With 16 years of scaring, this haunted house at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds prides itself on knowing exactly how to terrify visitors. General admission is $20 and available on-site only. Plus, an escape room new this year for $5.
8. Terror on Rural Street
147 N. RURAL ST., HARTFORD
According to this eerie attraction, its premises are actually haunted by ghosts who did not make themselves known until the construction of the haunted house began. These restless spirits now occupy 17 rooms of fear. General admission is $15.
9. Meadowbrook’s Haunted Cornfield

If you’re afraid of frights, no need to worry: Meadowbrook offers both scary and non-scary options. But if you want to be scared, take a dark and narrow walk through this corn maze teeming with terrifying creatures and creepy sounds. Tickets are $21-36.
10. The Dark Side Haunted Adventure

With eight separate scary attractions, visitors can pick what they fear the most. This haunted complex also has Zombie Exhibition Paintball, a Call of Duty Zombies-like experience where you can shoot the zombies when they come for you. Tickets are $30, but affordable group pricing is available, too.
11. Burial Chamber

Scare enthusiasts can win fast pass tickets to this complex’s four haunted attractions in a scavenger hunt called The Hunt. For the ultimate thrill factor, the Trapped Buried Alive Experience simulates the feeling of being buried alive. General admission starts at $20.
12. Haunted Mini Golf at Nine Below

Nine Below has transformed for spooky season. The course now features 13 haunted Halloween holes. Plus, on certain nights the greens will be stalked by monsters, zombies and ghouls. $20 per player during non-peak hours and $30 during peak hours, walk-ins only.
