3 New Things Coming to Milwaukee in September 2024

A new indie folk album from Maximiano, a new art supply shop in Racine and another novel from Whitefish Bay native Dan Kois.

1. THE REAL TRUTH

Following the breakup of their band Crawlspace, indie folk artist Maximiano enlisted friends to help craft their new dreamy, country-tinged debut album.

2. Unraveled Creative Studio

Ellen Bashore sells hand-stitched creations at markets as Peach Things, and she’s gone viral for her rug-making videos. Her latest venture is an art supply shop in downtown Racine, which is now open.

3. Hampton Heights

In this horror-comedy novel from Whitefish Bay native Dan Kois, six paperboys in the ’80s face a night of monsters haunting the namesake Milwaukee neighborhood. It’s out Sept. 17.
