1. River Profiles: The People Restoring Our Waterways

Watershed planner and Milwaukeean Pete Hill shares the stories of people around the country preserving bodies of water, including a local public servant working to reduce flood risk. The book is out April 2 – in time for Earth Day.

2. Irving Place Records

OPENS APRIL 20

Longtime employee Terry Hackbarth and fellow musician Don Kurth are reopening East Side staple Bullseye Records with a new moniker and a fresh coat of paint on Record Store Day – April 20.

3. Milwaukee Candle Co.’s Tropical Dome 

AVAILABLE NOW

This tribute to the city’s lush Mitchell Park Domes carries airy notes of amber, sandalwood and petrichor. A portion of proceeds will go toward restoring the domes.
