What’s Crazy Grazin’ Tuesday at the State Fair?

It’s the food deal day you need to know about.

The Wisconsin State Fair is in full swing, and if you’re not there for the exhibits or the rides, then you’re there for the food. The state fair is delivering for the foodies tomorrow on Crazy Grazin’ Tuesday, when you’ll find smaller portions of crowd favorites at a discount throughout the fairgrounds.

More than 30 vendors are participating this year, which means there are plenty of options including snacks, appetizers, drinks and main dish deals.

Some of the discounted snacks we’re excited about include regular size of deep-fried cheese curds from Major Goolsby’s and a half-sized Saz’s pretzel, but if you’re feeling courageous, venture over to try a sample of edible bugs from All Things Jerky or a rocky mountain oyster from Big Sky Country Bar & Grill.

Nominations are open for the 2024 Unity Awards!

Know an individual or group committed to bridging divides in our community? Nominate them for a Unity Award by Oct. 31.

After your appetite is piqued, consider digging into one of the many sausage deals offered; stick with what you know and find a tasty corn dog, express your true Wisconsinite self and try the Brat-Tot-Chos from the Blue Moon Tavern at the Park or get a little adventurous with a deep-fried bacon-wrapped cheddar hot dog on a stick.

Looking to quench your thirst? The drink deals include Door County cherry juice from the Wisconsin Cherry Growers, Wisconsin Honey Producers’ honey lemonade or the classic root beer float from the Got Milk? stand.

And of course, you can’t forget to top off the day with desserts like the little cannolis from Mille’s Italian Sausage, Helmut’s German strudels or the frozen bananas from Molly’s Sweet Shoppe.

Be sure to grab a brochure from a guest information center to check the discount and the sample sizes being offered as they vary from vendor to vendor, or use the online version to plan ahead.
