Wayfair’s First In-Person Store Is Only an Hour Drive from Milwaukee

Take a peek inside here!

Online furniture and home goods store Wayfair opened its first-ever physical store on May 23 in Wilmette, Illinois, and it’s only about an hour drive from Milwaukee to get there.

Development and construction on the space began in 2022, and now, the two-story store is open at Edens Plaza in Wilmette. The store’s purple and white exterior, and 150,000 square foot building, is visible directly from I-94.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

The store has over 80,000 pieces of physical inventory, from small decor and pillows to mattresses and light fixtures. There is also a “Shower Experience,” multiple design studios and a dog section.

Customers can shop all of Wayfair’s brands at the in-person store, including AllModern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main, Perigold and Wayfair Professional.

The store also includes an indoor restaurant, “The Porch.” The restaurant features an all-day breakfast menu, along with salads, sandwiches and beer and wine. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

The first floor consists mainly of smaller design and decor items and the restaurant. Upstairs holds major appliances, along with test kitchens, bedrooms and outdoor areas.

The store and restaurant hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
