To Scale

Yep, that’s a Lego version of City Hall. And no, you can’t have one for Christmas.

This monstrous Lego version of Milwaukee’s City Hall contains more than 10,000 blocks and resides, for the most part, in the basement of the Milwaukee County Historical Society. The august Lego company fabricated the model and donated it to the Wisconsin chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 1982. A Lego-sized Mayor Henry Maier was not included.

‘To Scale’ appears in the October 2015 issue of Milwaukee Magazine.
