It's February in Milwaukee. So that means...pho!

Today is not just any Friday. It’s Groundhog Day! But instead of talking about how soon we could be eating alfresco, Tarik Moody are firmly entrenched in winter and what that means in terms of food cravings.

That leads us, on this edition of This Bites on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, to the annual Phobruary, a much-yearned-for  promotion in the Silver City neighborhood. For the whole month (weekdays only), restaurants like Bamboo and Vientiane Noodle Shop are offering $5 pho.

Riffing on previous convos about plant-based dining, we discuss Beatrix Foods’ plans to open a resto in the old Abu’s/Jow Nai Fouquet (1978 N. Farwell Ave.) – a space that will also have a seitan “butcher” counter.

We finish out the segment with deets on a couple of events — Milwaukee Magazine’s second Chef Event and 88Nine’s Sound Bites.

Stream our segment for maximum deliciousness!
