A new pizza point, decadent waffles, a food movie you need to see and more.

This week on This Bites on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, Tarik Moody and I have a really diverse show. We start out with some new restaurants right now (or on the way), including Trouble & Sons, Press (whose expanded menu of waffles and sandwiches will be available at a cafe space in the Third Ward’s Marshall Building in early 2019), and Merge, the new bar from the owners the Korean fusion restaurant Char’d.

Black Sheep in Walker’s Point has plumped up its brunch menu, served Saturday-Sunday. It already includes pancake-battered cheese curds, breakfast poutine, the Black Sheep burger and breakfast tacos.

Mazorca, the taco truck perma-parked near the corner of First and Pittsburgh in the Fifth Ward, is having a Harvest Fest this Saturday (Oct. 27, noon-8 p.m.). The outdoor festival is held at 240 E. Pittsburgh Ave. In addition to the tacos they’re known for, Mazorca will also served a selection of tortas (sandwiches).

And on Sunday, The Laughing Taco (1033 S. First St.) is holding a special Brunch Tacos event, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The event is with the owners of Cometa Restaurante in Monterrey, Mexico.

Listen to “Oct 26th – New Restaurants, MKE Film Fest, Mazorca Fest, Taco Brunch & Black Sheep Brunch” on Spreaker.
