Third Space Brewing Partnering With Three Lions Pub for Food-Beer Event

Take a turn as food critic for a day.

Partnering with new Milwaukee craft brewery Third Space, Three Lions Pub (4515 N. Oakland Ave.) is doing the hosting honors for a food-suds event this Thursday, July 13 called “Tapas and Taps.” That’s six Third Space beers combined with six small plates. Third Space is known for its list of core beers (including That’s Gold Golden Kolsch and Acres Edge Toasted Oatmeal Stout), seasonals and special releases.

Think this is just a straightforward sampling? Wrong! It’s up to guests to decide which beers pair best with each small plate. (It’s a little like being a dining critic…) The menu features house-cured pork belly with Asian slaw; confit of duck Scotch egg; mini lamb Wellingtons with gratin potato; and Oreo-Snickers cheesecake with Rumchata chocolate sauce and peanut brittle.

Third Space — whose brewmaster will be on hand to answer questions and offer details on the brews — plans to serve Happy Place Midwest Pale Ale, Unite the Clans Scottish Ale and 1st and First Russian Imperial Stout, among other beers.

Cost: $35 per person. Space is limited. Find more info, including tickets.
