As the weather begins to finally warm up, Milwaukee is ready for summer with plenty of music, beer tastings and more.


Hacienda Beer North Ave. Taproom Grand Opening

The beloved Door County brewery is moving into a new space in Milwaukee. Hacienda Beer Co. is celebrating their grand opening in Milwaukee on Saturday, June 1, starting at 11 a.m. at their new space (2018 E. North Ave.). Expect to enjoy new bottle releases, a full kitchen menu, live music and plenty of drafts.

Drink Wisconsinbly Pub Grand Opening

For those who prefer to brush their teeth with beer instead of water, this could be the perfect Saturday morning for you. Although the Drink Wisconsinbly Pub (320 W. Highland Ave.) has been open since April, they haven’t had an official opening. The DW Pub Grand Opening takes place on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 8 a.m. Expect plenty of beer, raffles, complimentary breakfast and lunch, games and more.

Midwest BrewHaHa

The Annual Midwest BrewHaHa returns to Milwaukee for the tenth year. The Milwaukee Brewcity Bruisers will host 22 teams from throughout the Midwest from Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena (400 W. Kilbourn Ave.). Expect three days full of games, teams and tracks.

Riverwest Spring Rummage Sale and Flea Market

Looking for a fun accessory or chic antique? This could be a one-stop destination. The Riverwest Spring Rummage Sale and Flea Market takes place on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Riverwest Neighborhood near Art*Bar (722 E. Burleigh St.). There will be over 150 vendors selling vintage clothing, jewelry, artwork, comic books, housewares and more. Listen to live music and sip on coffee or a bloody mary at Art*Bar, too.

5th Annual Brewtown Rumble

When you think of summer, it’s hard not to hear the roar of motorcycles. The 5th Annual Brewtown Rumble returns on Sunday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Fuel Cafe (630 S. 5th St.). All bikes of every make and model are welcome to participate and all motorcycle enthusiasts are welcome, as well.

Milwaukee Highland Games

The Scottish Milwaukee Highland Games return Saturday, June 1, opening at 9 a.m. at Hart Park (7300 Chestnut St.). Listen to some bagpipe bands, try some delicious Scottish foods, watch some classic Highland dancing and participate in even more activities.

Downtown Dining Week

The classic Milwaukee foodie favorite is back! Downtown Dining Week returns to various Milwaukee restaurants from Thursday, May 30, through Thursday, June 6. Participating restaurants will feature $12.50 lunch and $25 or $35 dinner.


First Jazz in the Park

The first Jazz in the Park of the summer is finally here. The Altered Five Blues Band will kick off the Jazz in the Park season on Thursday, May 30, starting at 5 p.m. at Cathedral Square Park (520 E. Wells St.). We will be previewing all the bands coming to Jazz in the Park this summer, as well.

Annual Art Walk

Now that the weather is finally starting to warm up, take a walk and enjoy it. The Annual Art Walk returns to Brady Street on Saturday, May 1, from noon to 4 p.m. While walking, attendees can shop at sidewalk sales and a local art market along with dining and drink deals. Enjoy live artists, live music and over 35 merchants.

Bay View Gallery Night

Bay View Gallery Night returns for another warm summer night. BVGN takes place on Friday, May 31, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Milwaukee Community Acupuncture (435 E. Lincoln Ave. Fl. 2). Artists on display include Jessica Bradway and Becky Tesch. There will even be free ear acupuncture from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Villa Terrace Renaissance Garden Opening

The beautiful Milwaukee garden and staple reopens for the summer season. The official opening takes place on Sunday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum (2220 N. Terrace Ave.). Live music begins at 10:3 0a.m. with with flute and harp duo Emma Koi & Erin Brooker-Miller, followed by performances from Present Music. There will also be children’s activities, food, drinks and free admission.
