Oktoberfest

Oktober in August? We say yes, please! Celebrate Milwaukee’s first Oktoberfest of the year on August 24 and 25 at the authentic Kegel’s Inn (5901 W National Ave). All proceeds will benefit the Lion’s Club of West Milwaukee.

Fringe Festival

With a history dating back to Edinburgh in 1947, this beloved performing arts fest now has a presence all over the world, including Milwaukee. Now in its third year, the Milwaukee Fringe Festival showcases emerging artists and industry veterans alike across theater, music, dance and visual arts. And it’s bound to get weird! Head to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts (929 N Water St) on August 25 and 26 to enjoy more than 20 different performances.

MKE Punk Fest

Spend August 23-26 punking out at MKE Punk Fest, hosted at Club Anything (807 South 5th St). Enjoy music, comedy and acoustic sounds.

Afro Culture Pop Up Tour

The pop-up shop continues its national tour in Milwaukee this weekend. Shop African apparel from designers Rahyma and Tribe of Dumo on Sunday, August 26, on the sixth floor of 176 West Wisconsin Avenue, starting at noon.
