The shut down of popular Riverwest coffee house The Daily Bird lasted less than a week.
The Daily Bird closed the doors of its East Center Street business on Monday while indicating that the closure could be temporary.
The Daily Bird reopened on Thursday, announcing “We’re Back” in an Instagram post.

“Thank you for your patience and support while we took a little break. Stoked to see y’alls face again,” the post goes on to state.
The business also announced that 100% of all bumper sticker sales will go toward recouping lost wages stemming from the three-day shutdown.
“Thank you! We need you all more than ever!” a follower of The Daily Bird’s Facebook page wrote.
The Daily Bird got its start in April 2021 as a pop-up coffee shop at neighboring Cafe Centro. Later that year, it permanently took over the space at 818 E. Center Street that formerly housed the original location of Fuel Café, which closed that site during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Daily Bird’s menu consists of a wide range of coffee and espresso drinks, along with tea and hot chocolate. A variety of food items is also available, including some vegetarian and vegan options.
