From Wednesday until the end of October, the CurderBurger is making a triumphant return to Culver’s.
The legendary burger originated on April Fool’s Day of 2021, when Culver’s posted a gag tweet, announcing that the chain was unveiling a massive cheese curd burger. After that, Culver’s fans created a Change.org petition demanding that the joke be brought to life. Six months later, Culver’s made dreams come true, releasing a limited supply of CurderBurgers on Oct. 15, 2021 (known to the initiated as National Cheese Curd Day).

The CurderBurger, in essence, is a Culver’s Deluxe with a patty-sized cheese curd replacing the usual slice of cheese. Its one-day sale proved to be a hit – one-fifth of Culver’s restaurants broke their single-day sales records.
Reviewers were pleased with the new creation, including one particularly handsome and charming Milwaukee Magazine writer who wrote in his review, “Indeed the CurderBurger is good. In fact, it’s pretty great. It combines two Culver’s essentials – burgers and curds – and the flavors are a perfect match. If it were to be made a permanent menu option, it might just become my go-to Culver’s order.”
Well, Culver’s has heard the cry of the people, and it has responded. Starting on Wednesday, the chain is adding the CurderBurger to its menu. Locations across the country will be serving them up until Oct. 31 (or until supplies run out).
“The excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the CurderBurger on National Cheese Curd Day last year was simply amazing, but unfortunately, many guests were unable to enjoy the sandwich due to the limited availability,” said Quinn Adkins, Culver’s director of menu development, in a press release. “We realized we had to bring it back in a much larger way for 2022, and we’re hopeful our guests will say it was worth the wait.”
