Changes Are Coming to Crossroads Collective Food Hall on This Bites

The culinary podcast featuring 88Nine’s Tarik Moody and MilMag’s Ann Christenson talking about all things dining-related.

Welcome to the world of This Bites, the radio segment and podcast that celebrates all things related to food and drink. (The segment runs at 8 a.m. on Friday mornings on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee.)

This week, our first topic is Crossroads Collective, the food hall on the East Side of the city. At the end of this year, two of the collective’s vendors are moving out and one new vendor is slated to move in. The departing vendors are Falafel Guys and Beerline Cafe. (Both businesses will continue to operate their other locations.) The new vendor moving in is an “authentic” Mexican taco place called Juana Taco. Listen to our segment and you’ll learn which vendors are staying.

The December issue of Milwaukee Magazine will hit newsstands starting November 30. But the cover story is likely something you’ll want to know about before you start celebrating Thanksgiving. Our Drinking Guide cover story, which includes 50 best bars, is something you’ll want to peruse before hanging out with (or escaping from your family) this weekend.

We also talk about a couple of new businesses opening in the next several months, namely a tapas/wine bar in the Third Ward and a Peruvian restaurant on the North Side in the same development as Pete’s Pops

Listen to “Bottoms up!” on Spreaker.

Ann Christenson has covered dining for Milwaukee Magazine since 1997. She was raised on a diet of casseroles that started with a pound of ground beef and a can of Campbell's soup. Feel free to share any casserole recipes with her.
