Grand opening time, people! The Brass Alley and Evolution Milwaukee are kicking it off this Friday, October 2. They are part of a multi-concept building at 1023 N. Old World Third St. The Alley serves New Orleans-style cuisine, along with the obligatory cocktails (frozen ones, too). Options include andouille corn pops, muffaletta sandwich, Big Easy burger (with pimento cheese, corn relish and bacon), fried alligator, crawfish etouffee, Bourbon Street skirt steak, jambalaya, and Oscar-style red fish. Entrées $12-$28. The table-tennis emporium Evolution also serves grub — from snacks and apps (bratwurst won ton) to handheld salads and sandwiches (pizza burger, BLT), $3.50-$9.50. Both establishments will open daily at 11 a.m.
