Milwaukee Magazine’s annual Betty Awards honors five extraordinary women in Wisconsin doing great work. The nomination form opened today, and you can access it by clicking here.
The Betty Awards launched in 2019 in honor of the late Betty Ewens Quadracci, Milwaukee Magazine’s publisher for 30 years. Betty was an extremely accomplished woman, a beloved philanthropist and a major influence who changed the lives of women in Milwaukee and beyond. These awards honor her determination, creativity, entrepreneurialism and tenacious spirit.
VOTE FOR MILWAUKEE’S BEST BEER!
What’s Brew City’s best? We’ve picked 16 of our favorite Milwaukee craft beers for a March Madness-style tournament, but it’s up to you to pick the winner! Will it be bright and hoppy? Dark and malty? A zippy lager? Every one is worthy of the title; who will claim the sudsy crown?
Each award category exemplifies one of Betty’s many admirable traits: Groundbreaker, Tenacious B, Standout Sister, Arts Advocate and Bridge-Builder. If you don’t know which category your potential nominee might fall in, that’s no issue – our nominating committee can determine a choice.

Nominations are open from now until July 17, and the winners will appear in the November issue of Milwaukee Magazine.
