Sweet Proof

To sip slowly of rum, with no ice or cola or some other thing in the glass, is to compliment the distiller.

And so, Great Northern’s Brian Cummins earned compliments aplenty while we reviewed Bottle No. 456 from Batch No. 3 of Opportunity Rum.

The folks in Plover, Wis., hadn’t planned on producing this 80-proof rum when they opened their distillery in 2014. You’ll be glad they changed their minds.
