Story Hill BKC (5100 W. Bluemound Rd.) is hosting another in its series of Bar Bites events on Monday, April 11. Chef/co-owner Joe Muench works with a different brewery for each event, shaping the menu around some of the featured brewery’s beers. This time, it’s Louisiana’s Abita Brewing Company. Muench created a terrific looking menu for this relaxed, informal dinner-at-the-bar, beginning with a reception and snacks at 6 p.m. Those include tomato-basil beignets, pimento beer cheese dip and spiced popcorn, served with a Big Easy IPA. The five-course dinner (6:30 p.m.) features whitefish etouffee with fried crawfish and wild rice pancake (paired with a grapefruit IPA); smoked beef belly carbonara (with Turbodog); a whole roast suckling pig with dumplings, maple-glazed greens and black-eyed peas (with Bourbon St. Alt); and finally, peanut butter pie (with Triple Haze).
