Sip & Purr Cat Cafe and Space Time Coffee Are Teaming Up

Sip & Purr Cat Cafe Is Making a Comeback, Now With Space Time Coffee

They are teaming up for the purrfect brew.

Cats and coffee are a powerful – purrful? – combination. After nearly a year’s hiatus while its new digs (833 E. Brady St.) were under construction, Milwaukee’s one and only cat cafe, Sip & Purr, is back (paws crossed) this fall.

And a new partner, local microroaster Space Time Coffee, is providing the buzzy drinks. Space Time’s Adam Sterr (pictured with Sip’s fierce cat ambassador Nero) had built a cult following for his beans despite not having a cafe space. In January, Space Time’s future was in jeopardy when it went on indefinite hiatus.

Enter Sip & Purr owner Katy McHugh, who approached Sterr to be the cat cafe’s official roaster and drink slinger in the new space. The move is a great fit for a few reasons, one being that Sterr (a cat dad himself) supports McHugh’s feline-saving initiative.

Editor’s Note: Sip & Purr is now expected to open in December 2024 per an Instagram post
