See Over 10,000 Tulips at This Spring Festival

Paine Art Center’s annual Festival of Spring has blooms, food, music and more.

The prospect of seeing 10,000-15,000 blooming tulips is one reason to hit up the Paine Art Center’s annual Festival of Spring on May 18 in Oshkosh. But not the only one.

For a single day, the grounds surrounding this art museum inside a Tudor revival mansion are transformed into a spring Shangri-La, with vendors selling everything from plants (by the thousands) to arts and crafts.

The block-party-like festival also includes food, live music and free admission to the museum, which has more than 1,000 pieces in its collection and is running a special exhibit of Hmong textiles through May 26. Open 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
