Pop-Up Cocktail Bar Comes to All Purpose on July 28

Creative cocktails of a South Beach persuasion define this one-night, cash-only cocktail bar.

John Van Lieshout cut his teeth, as he puts it, making cocktails at the Walker’s Point bar All Purpose (814 S. Second St.). Now living and working in Brooklyn, New York, he’s bringing a one-night pop-up cocktail bar – called Club Paradise – to All Purpose on Thursday, July 28 (10 p.m.-2 a.m.). The music, atmosphere and drink aesthetic of the pop-up will reflect South Beach culture from the mid-1980s to the present day, he says, calling the cocktails ones with a “Miami clubland twist.” Affordability is key here, too, with drinks staying in the $7-and-under range. The pop-up is also cash-only. Again, July 28, 10 p.m.-2 a.m.
