Vanguard Bar is up to some tricks this summer and they’re not related to sausage. Not technically. This Saturday, they’re throwing a patio party where the theme is Asian street food. The menu includes grilled pork belly skewers dipped in soy and fried garlic, Korean chicken wings, beef skewers with XO sauce, octopus topped with Szechuan chile oil and ponzu, and tofu skewers, also topped chile oil and ponzu. $10 for the dish. You can mix and match your proteins, and it comes with steamed rice, braised eggplant and bok choy. Wash it all down with a Hinterland beer. This is part of the bar’s Patio Party Series.
