Northpoint Custard to Appear on New Cooking Channel TV Show

See some of your favorite Milwaukee staples (curds, custard) on the little screen.

Northpoint Custard on the lakefront may have closed for the 2017 season, but you can take a “tour” of the summer with Bartolotta Restaurants co-owner Joe Bartolotta on the premiere episode of Seaside Snacks & Shacks, a new show on the Cooking Channel and Food Network. The first time the episode airs is Thursday, Sept. 14.

On each episode, host Sabin Lomac (described as both a native of Maine and a lobster roll expert) travels to “seaside” locations to uncover great casual dining spots.

With azure-blue Lake Michigan as a backdrop, Northpoint shows off its wares, including fried cheese curds, the Quad burger (topped with four patties) and frozen custard. The episode airs on the Cooking Channel at 9 p.m. central time. See the Food Network’s and Cooking Channel’s websites for additional air times.

If you’ve got your 2018 calendar handy, the shack’s opening date for next season is May 19, 2018
