A New Agreement Could Finally Allow for a Strip Club Downtown

We cover Silk Exotic owner Jon Ferraro’s ongoing story in our May issue, too.

Milwaukee officials are negotiating an agreement that could lead to a strip club opening Downtown, the Journal Sentinel reported on Wednesday.

According to the JS story, the agreement, a draft of which was obtained by the paper, would involve the owners of Silk Exotic, which has strip clubs on Milwaukee’s Northwest Side and in Juneau and Middleton, dropping a lawsuit against the city over a previous denial of permission to operate a club Downtown.

The owners, led by Jon Ferraro, were successful in an earlier lawsuit, and the city in 2015 cut a check for nearly $1 million to Ferraro’s team.

The newspaper reported that if the agreement were signed by both sides, the Common Council would have to approve it, and that a council committee would meet in closed executive session Thursday to discuss it.
