Nearby Farms Where You Can Get Your Fall Fix This Season

From corn mazes to pumpkin patches, these farms will get you in the fall spirit

1. Lindner’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze in New Berlin 

25-MINUTE DRIVE

This nearby attraction offers pumpkin picking, a corn maze, an animal farm and a playground. They are open every day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. through Sunday, Oct. 31. You may view their updates on Facebook also. 

2. The Elegant Farmer’s Autumn Harvest Festival in Mukwonago

30-MINUTE DRIVE

The Elegant Farmer offers traditional fall activities such as hayrides, apple picking, pumpkin patches, laser tag and corn mazes. They also have a specialty cafe serving fresh cider, pies, apple cider donuts and pulled pork sandwiches. They are open Saturdays and Sundays until Sunday, Oct. 24.

3. Schuett Farms in Mukwonago 

30-MINUTE DRIVE

This farm offers pumpkin picking, hayrides and special weekend activities for kids. They also make harvest decorations from straw, mums, gourds or other classic fall plants. They sell mini donuts, caramel apples, beef and maple syrup. Their hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and they are open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. After such hours, they have a special nighttime corn maze that opens Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m with a final entry at 9 p.m., for which flashlights are required. 

 

 

4. The Creekside Valley Farm in Mequon

30-MINUTE DRIVE

This farm offers pumpkins and squashes for sale, with a $5 entry into a trivia- filled 5-acre corn maze. They also have popcorn, treats and cider at the maze entrance. Other activities include hayrides, movie viewings, and QR Code scavenger hunts. They have a different food vendor every weekend in October as well and are open from 9 a.m. until dusk.

5. Spieker’s Pumpkin Farm in Random Lake

40-MINUTE DRIVE

Spieker’s offers a huge selection of pumpkins alongside a petting zoo, hayrides and a large corn maze. This year’s maze is designed as a tribute to American Soldiers and Veterans. The farm is open until Oct. 31 and there’s weekday hours from 10 a.m. until dark and weekend hours from 9 a.m. until dark. 

6. Pumpkin Fest at Basse’s Taste of Country in Colgate 

30-MINUTE DRIVE

Highlights here include a corn maze, pig racing, a petting zoo and other activities for children. These are just a few of the attractions available until October 31. Their hours are flexible including weekday entry from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekend entry from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

7. The Cedarburg Creek Farm

25-MINUTE DRIVE

This attraction offers free admission and free hayrides. There are also pumpkin picking adventures, a petting zoo and pony rides among other activities. There are weekend live events and concerts scheduled, and parents can even host a kids’ birthday party (with a bouncy house) if desired. In November the farm pivots to offering a variety of Christmas trees and has Santa visits. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Oct. 31. 

8. The Meadowbrook “Scary Fun” Pumpkin Farm and Market in West Bend 

40-MINUTE DRIVE

The Meadowbrook Farm offers a pumpkin patch, tractor rides and a petting zoo with other activities for children available. For children 15 and older, there is an option to venture into the daytime haunted corn maze, or for adults, the nighttime haunted cornfield. Don’t worry, flashlights are allowed! The farm is open Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission fees can be paid at the entrance and vary per event chosen. Tickets for the haunted maze are only sold until 10 p.m. and the maze takes around 30 minutes to complete. The farm also offers chicken and beef for sale in their market.
