You’ve heard of Jazz in the Park and Shakespeare in the Park, but new this year is Mozart in the Park.
“It’s easy listening music,” says Renata Herrera, the Florentine Opera’s education and community engagement director. “It’s light-hearted [and] it’s extremely dramatic, and by that I mean, you’ll get the emotion of the story even if you don’t speak the language.”

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
A mix of Mozart’s operas will be performed by the Florentine’s prestigious summer studio ensemble, which brings in talent from around the country.
The shows will be partially staged and costumed, and the first concert is on July 5 at Lake Park. The series travels to local parks through Aug. 12.
