Merriment Social Owners to Open Restaurant in Former Carnevor Digs

The new, Milwaukee Street restaurant will focus on seafood.

The owners of the Fifth Ward’s Merriment Social (240 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) have revealed a few details about their next venture — a restaurant in the old Carnevor (724 N. Milwaukee St.). The partners’ restaurant, to be called Third Coast Provisions, will specialize in modern seafood preparations. Merriment chef Andrew Miller will function as executive chef of this new enterprise and will create the menu. (Carnevor recently moved to the old Umami Moto space, 718 N. Milwaukee St.)  The interior will undergo a complete remodel, says Miller. Target opening is early this summer. More details to come.
