1.

Choose good quality paper (if you are a novice, look for grid lines running along its undecorated side, to help you cut straight)

2.

When measuring, you’ll want enough paper to wrap around the box, plus about 1½ inch. For the ends, cut the paper so it’s about ⅔ of the height of the box. Keep in mind that too much paper can be as problematic as too little.

3.

Open the scissors and use them as a blade to cut a straighter line.

4.

Folding the raw edges under gives your gift a finished look.

5.

As you wrap the gift, run your pinched index finger and thumb along each edge to make each crease as sharp as possible.

6.

Use double-sided tape so you can keep the adhesive hidden.
