Lucky Strike

Honeypie’s satisfying Super Lucky Bars.

Honeypie’s wicked-good Super Lucky Bars are packed with stuff. So packed – with oats, crisped rice, nuts, seeds, wheat germ, dried fruit, honey and maple syrup – that we placed one on a kitchen scale. It weighed in at a third of a pound.

Bakery co-owner/guy-who-golfs Adam Lucks built the bar to be sustaining through long hauls on the golf course. “The fact that the whole thing is the size of a brick means it can keep you satisfied for a while,” Lucks says.

Oh, but it’s tasty brick, too. Try one when you’re feeling Lucky. Sold for $5-$6 at Ben’s Cycle, Honeypie and the three Anodyne Coffee Roasters locations.

‘Lucky Strike’ appears in the January 2016 issue of Milwaukee Magazine.
