Locust Street Festival

The annual Locust Street Festival of Music and Art on June 10 was another success despite the rainy day. When walking down Locust Street, one may be surprised as to the magnitude of the event, itself.

If you started at the most west side, the street was lined with delicious food vendors: from fresh lemonade to delectable BBQ to beer galore, you couldn’t have left hungry. As festival goers continued throughout the festival, they could have stopped to look at handcrafted jewelry, a Tai Chi demonstration, custom candles and oils, paintings or Milwaukee buttons.

While walking throughout the festival, attendees felt a drizzle of rain while listening to the various music artists that were always in earshot. With performers ranging from rock to classic to jazz, there was something for every music connoisseur.

Let’s just say that if this festival isn’t one of your usual summer hits, you’ll want to change that.
