On Monday night, Kanye West released his much-anticipated new album Donda. It’s one hour and forty-eight minutes long, has a completely black cover and is causing a firestorm of online opinion.
But we here at Milwaukee Magazine aren’t here to judge Kanye’s music – we’re here to point out the Milwaukee connection. On the ninth track, “Junya,” West raps:
“Let me be honest / I won with the bucks, boy / Let me Giannis / I won with the bucks, boy.”
Won with the bucks. Won with the Bucks? Get it? Like money, and the sports team.
