Chocolate devotees, we have delicious news.
The weekend of Friday, Feb. 16, through Sunday, Feb. 18, marks Destination Kohler’s sixth annual In Celebration of Chocolate, a cocoa-centric extravaganza in Kohler, Wisconsin, that includes a variety of chocolate-themed demonstrations, tastings and meals designed by the resort’s culinary experts.
This means a cheese and chocolate pairing, five-course tasting dinner and the opportunity to drop a chocolate orb of your own creation into hot milk – yes, the kind of DIY hot chocolate you’ve only seen on Instagram.
Chef Jerome Ducrocq from the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and two classically-trained French pastry chefs, including Kohler’s Executive Pastry Chef Nicholas Blouin, will be presenting a variety of events that demonstrate the intricacy and versatility of chocolate.
In Celebration of Chocolate kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. with a chocolate and spirits pairing, followed by the five-course “In Celebration of Chocolate Wine Dinner” at The American Club’s Great Lakes Ballroom.

In addition to the cheese and chocolate pairing and chocolate orb demonstration, Saturday’s highlights include a “Wake Up to Chocolate & Bubbles” breakfast, chocolate-inspired lunch and demonstration on how to make both a traditional and unique tiramisu.
The weekend wraps up Sunday with a “Chocolate Lovers’ Brunch” in The Wisconsin Room at The American Club.
“In Celebration of Chocolate presents such a broad range of exciting events that I would say it has something for all tastes and interests,” said Destination Kohler Special Events Manager Micha Sims. “…[The event] blends learning and fun throughout the weekend and engages not only the taste buds but also creativity.”
Buy tickets to individual events a la carte with prices starting at $39.99 or book an overnight package at The American Club or Inn on Woodlake with reservations starting at $165 per person. Call (800) 344-2838 for reservations.
