To start, though, we suggest some ways to warm up. Tarik is a big fan of Foundation tiki bar in Riverwest, and is counting down the minutes to when the place adds a few hot spiked drinks to its winter offerings. I have a few suggestions myself, including Rochambo’s Irish coffee and Von Trier’s Hot Butterscotch drink fortified with butterscotch schnapps. Yum!
On Saturday Nov. 2, you might also consider warming up at Let’s Brunch MKE, happening at Glass + Griddle and featuring vendors like Saz’s, Smoke Shack, Great Lakes Distillery and Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria.
And if you’re concerned about the amount of waste that comes along with shopping for groceries, you might welcome the opening (by this year’s end) of The Glass Pantry. The shop will sell items in bulk; customers will bring their own containers and storage bags to carry what they buy.
