Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books

This annual festival at UWM is celebrating its 10th year of promoting literacy and the arts, inviting the community to come enjoy live music, book sales, panels, presentations and live music.

Let’s Brunch MKE

If you want to sample the best of the area’s brunch cuisine (or if you’re just looking for a socially acceptable reason to score some cocktails before noon), don’t miss out on Let’s Brunch MKE, where Milwaukee’s hottest brunch spots will convene at Glass+Griddle for a brunch extravaganza.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 LIVE

In the not-too-distant future (this Saturday, A.D.), the cast of the iconic, nerd-beloved Mystery Science Theater 3000 will be in Milwaukee to screen“No Retreat, No Surrender,” one of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s earliest films, with hilarious, gut-busting live commentary and occasional breaks for sketch comedy.

Lego Mystery Mural

Kids 17 and under get in free this weekend to the Harley-Davidson Museum (with an accompanying adult), where the community is invited to snap bricks into their Lego Mystery Mural that will remain on display until Spring.

Fall Park Clean-Up Day

Want to do get outdoors and do some good this weekend? Friends of nature of all ages are invited to LaFolette Park in West Allis this Saturday to come together and clean up the park before winter’s in full swing.

Menomonee Falls Holiday Bazaar

Get your holiday shopping out of the way ahead of schedule at the Menomonee Falls Library Friends Annual Holiday Bazaar, a one-stop holiday shopping destination and fundraiser for Menomonee Falls Library’s advocacy and volunteer efforts.

Grace Fine Art and Craft Festival

Want to keep your holiday shopping closer to downtown? The 2019 Fine Art and Craft Festival at the Grace Center will host 25 Wisconsin artisans on Sunday, peddling one-of-a-kind crafts. There will also be live music and a raffle.

2019 LGBTQ+ Families Thrive Conference

The Cream City Foundation’s 2019 LGBTQ+ Families Thrive Conference will be held this weekend at the Potawatomi Hotel, providing resources, discussions and a safe space for LGBTQ+ people raising families or planning to do so.
